On April 18, a newborn Pacific white-sided dolphin entered the world, and, according to personnel, both mother and child are adapting beautifully.
The birth went smoothly, and the dolphin calf’s instincts kicked in immediately.
First, the little one sped to the surface to get a breath of air, then dove back down to be by mom’s side.
The duo is under round-the-clock watch, but is being given enough privacy to allow them to bond in peace.
