Aussie photographer Ryan Pernofski has spent the past two years shooting Central Coast surf from under and above the waves in slow motion for his ‘Slowmocean’ series. Pernofski said he used only an iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 to capture the footage and a case to keep the device dry. Pernofski told Storyful: “I was shooting in the water with my iPhone and then Apple’s iPhone brought out the Slow Motion feature, so it seemed like a perfect fit!”“(I) filmed over two years, and then I put it together until 2am in one sitting and then touched it up the next morning … I had been wanting to put it together for ages, lots of unused footage that didn’t make the 2am cut.” Credit: Ryan Pernofski
