Gun-wielding robber taken down by brave grocery store customers

CORAL GABLES, FLORIDA — A suspected armed robber got more than he bargained for in an attempted hold-up at a convenience store on Saturday morning.
Surveillance footage recorded at the Down Stairs store in Coral Gables shows suspect Jovon Maurice Reddick, 32, walk in and threaten to shoot everyone inside unless they hand over their money, reported the Miami Herald citing an arrest report.
Two customers standing at the counter then subdued Reddick, wrestling him to the ground and subduing him until police arrived.
Reddick was arrested and charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon while committing an offense.
The customers walked away from the incident without injury.
