5-year-old girl's Christmas wish comes true after her story goes viral

SCHENECTADY, NEW YORK — Safyre "The Super Survivor" Terry is a five-year-old girl from New York who lost her father and three siblings in an arson fire two years ago. Safyre survived the blaze but lost her hand and a foot after 75% of her body was burned.

The child's Christmas wish this year was to fill up a card-tree with Christmas cards from around the world. Her aunt shared her wish on the Safyre Schenectady's Super Survivor Facebook page. But it wasn't until Safyre's pics were shared on Imgur that her story started to go viral.

The cards started rolling in at a rate that might require a forest of card-trees to hold all the mail she's receiving.
