Less than a month after Islamic militants stormed their concert in Paris as part of coordinated attacks that killed 130 on Nov. 13, the Eagles of Death Metal were back onstage in the City of Light - courtesy of the mammoth rock band U2.
The bands performed a joint cover of Patti Smith's "People Have the Power" before U2 left the stage, letting the Eagles of Death Metal conclude the concert with their song "I Love You All the Time."
"Thank you, Paris," Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes - clad in white and making liberal use of Bono's expansive extended stage- said from the stage.
A statement by the band concluded: "Thank you to Bono, The Edge, Larry and Adam, thank you to their wonderful management, thank you to France, and thank you to everyone in the world who continues to prove that love, joy, and music will always overcome terror and evil."
