Former Playboy Playmate buys first class airplane ticket for her obese dog

LOS ANGELES — A very large dog sitting atop luxury pillows in a cart was sighted taking a first class American Airlines flight at LAX on Saturday.
The obese dog, named Hank, is the pet of former Playboy Playmate Kari Whitman. He was spotted being carted around and taken to ride first class on a flight from the Los Angeles International Airport, Mashable reports.
According to Hank's Instagram account, Whitman, who is now an interior designer and founder of the Beverly Hills based Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue, rescued him from an animal shelter in Los Angeles. Hank can detect seizures, but since he can't walk, he gets to ride around in a cart pulled by Whitman. She also buys him first class airline tickets so he can be most comfortable while traveling.
The photo of Hank and Whitman at the American Airlines gate at LAX has gone viral, and Madeliene Doux, the woman who took the photo told Mashable: "Everyone, both while boarding the plane and on the plane before takeoff, was speculating as to how the dog got so fat. You could legitimately hear hushed whispers of "He's riding first class.'"
