'Taken' is being made into a TV prequel for NBC

Liam Neeson's action trilogy Taken is coming to NBC in the form of a television prequel.
Mashable has confirmed that the network has put in a straight-to-series order for the show, based on the 2008 movie and subsequent sequels, which have grossed more than $928 million worldwide.
In the first film, Neeson played Bryan Mills, a retired CIA operative who launches a mission to save his kidnapped daughter .
The series will reportedly tell the story of Mills' time in the CIA.
The show has the support of the film's original screenwriter Luc Besson, whose studio EuropaCorp will co-produce with Universal TV.
