Sulu's claim over Sabah on shaky ground

Historian Farish Noor says if the Sultanate of Sulu's claim to Sabah is based on history, Brunei technically has a greater claim to the state.
Dr Farish also says while reports of Malaysia paying the Sulu Sultanate "rent" may be true, the money would be purely tokenstic and wouldn't give Sulu legal claims to Sabah.
