Drought-fed wildfires continue to blaze in Pacific Northwest

Firefighters are continuing to battle wildfires fed by drought in the northwest United States.The wildfires have destroyed multiple homes and forced a number of evacuations in the Pacific Northwest. Better weather aided firefighters battling the blazes on Sunday.In total this year, there have been 40,509 fires that have burned almost 7 million acres of land, well above the average, according to the National Weather Service.
