Minions Creator Claims They Are All 'Dumb And Stupid' Males

Responding to questions about the lack of female characters in his latest film, the man behind the Minions explained that all Minions are men because they’re so "dumb and stupid."
Minions are the breakout stars of the Despicable Me series and their stand-alone adventure is easily the biggest animated film of the year. But all of the Minions are men and that has some people wondering.
Pierre Coffin, the Minions creator who co-directed the spin-off, responded to questions about the lack of female characters in his latest film: “Seeing how dumb and stupid they often are, I just couldn’t imagine Minions being girls.”
His explanation doesn’t solve the mystery of how Minions reproduce, however.
