Syria: War Fought on Two Fronts, the Battlefield and the Media

The battles between the Islamic State (IS) and the Syrian Army are being reflected in the war waged by the international and domestic media. The international media seeks to portray all opposition to President Bashar al-Asad's government as comprised of moderate forces and often announces the fall of cities to the IS forces before they occur.
