Subway sandwich artist Sierra McCurdy lost her job and faced a vicious backlash on social media after she tweeted a celebratory post following the murder of two police officers in Hattiesburg, Mississippi while wearing her Subway work uniform.

McCurdy, 19, tweeted that two police officers had been killed in Hattiesburg. Her post included laughing and skull emojis along with the words "Got em" followed by gun emojis. Her callous message triggered hundreds of responses from netizens calling for her to be fired and for a boycott of the popular sandwich chain.
