Chinese demonstrators called mainland tourists shopping in Hong Kong "traitors"

A group of Chinese 'patriots' today occupied the space outside of Hong Kong's Sogo Department store in tourist-heavy Causeway Bay.

More than ten demonstrators wore hats with a red star, arm bands, and were armed with Mao's "Little Red Book" and the Chinese flag. They appeared to be from mainland China, and called mainland tourists who were there to shop 'traitors'. Police were summoned to the scene to maintain order. Over a hundred people surrounded and watched the protesters wave their flags and sing Chinese Communist party songs. One Hong Kong resident, surnamed Lee, engaged in a verbal fight with the demonstrators. The occupation ended when demonstrator were asked to leave by the police.

Last week, a similar event occurred where demonstrators demanded Chinese tourists to shop domestically.
