Three prisoners escape Quebec prison by helicopter

Canadian authorities are searching for three inmates who escaped from a Quebec City prison using a helicopter on Saturday night.
The men escaped the Orsainville detention center just north of Quebec City, said Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Sgt. Audrey-Anne Bilodeau. The prison break occurred at 7:45 p.m.
Canadian authorities have identified the men as Serge Pomerleau, 55; Yves Denis, 35; and Denis Lefebvre, 55.
Bilodeau said police were looking for a green helicopter with red and white markings that landed at the prison. Authorities do know now whether the helicopter landed in a prison yard, on a building or nearby. Bilodeau said it was last seen heading west from Quebec City.
She said a lone pilot was believed to have been aboard the helicopter when it arrived at the prison.
Airports were alerted to watch for the aircraft, and the military was helping in an air search, Bilodeau said.
