A man who in 2012 posted an online video of himself trying to goad police officers in Plainfield, Illinois into a high speed chase, has been sentenced to four years in prison.

Hamza Ali ben Ali, an Algerian national also facing U.S. immigration proceedings, decided to ride his Honda CBR 1000 at speeds of up to 115 mph — and film it.

He then posted the footage, which clearly shows him evading police officers and driving recklessly, to YouTube two weeks later under user account "DaOutlaw 6".

Ali's lawyer said in court he maintains it wasn't him on the bike, but he was already in trouble with the law and had an ankle bracelet on with a GPS.

After Ali serves his time, the immigration officials will look into deporting him. Although, on top of this conviction, he also faces similar charges, again from Plainfield in late 2012 where he again tried goading a police officer into a chase.
