Dumbest stoner ever? Arizona man trades stolen $160,000 diamond for a tiny bag of weed

A UPS worker stole a $160,000 diamond from a parcel and traded it for $20 of marijuana late last month in Phoenix.

The suspect, 20-year-old Walter Earl Morrison, a former UPS ramp agent, stole a Brink’s parcel while unloading a UPS cargo plane at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport. Morrison told Phoenix police that he thought the package contained cash.

Morrison told police he found a small cardboard box in the package, in which he discovered a diamond worth $160,000. He then called a friend and traded the diamond for one gram of marijuana, which is worth about $20.

Morrison was fired by UPS and was arrested on September 16. Phoenix police recovered the diamond and charged Morrison with felony theft.
