Dashcam video of two police officers pulling a man from a burning car wreck just seconds before flames consume the car has been released by the Mesquite Police Department in Texas.

The driver of the car, 25-year-old Hector Valles, was traveling on the Interstate 30 on Sunday night when he left the roadway and hit a highway sign, The Dallas Morning News reported.

The crash left Valles unconscious at the wheel while his SUV caught fire.

Police rushed at the scene of the accident, and two officers jumped out their car, beat the fire back and pulled Valles free, saving his life.

After a quick check of his vitals, they transported him to the hospital where he is recovering from burns and internal injuries.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
