Pranks gone wrong: Sequoyah seniors trash school, miss graduation - TomoNews

A group of Tennessee high school seniors turned a pre-graduation "prank" into wanton destruction worthy of a Viking raid. Seniors at Tennessee's Sequoyah High School evidently have some tradition of pre-graduation pranking, and this year's pranks started out harmlessly enough, with the majority of the damage involving glitter and toilet paper. But things escalated fast.

Out of control student vandals peed on the walls, left dead animals in the hallways, dropped goldfish into toilets, and pretty much ransacked the entire building -- inside and out. Students set booby-traps over doorways, put marbles and baby oil on the ground so people would slip, and three teacher later did just that.

The school principal allegedly gave the vandals permission to go on the prank raid and an off-duty cop who worked as a security officer at the school, allegedly assisted the vandals by carrying their supplies into the school for them.

Following the fracas, about 100 seniors were banned from attending their graduation ceremony and Principal Gary Cole was suspended.
