Andressa Urach, a Brazilian model and reality TV star, is currently in serious condition after surgery to enlarge her thighs went horribly wrong. The 27-year-old glamour model, who boasts of a past affair with Brazilian football star Cristiano Ronaldo had two different substances injected into her lower body to fill out her her thighs and lift her butt (they like ‘em big in Brazil).
The augmentation her won second place the national Miss BumBum contest in 2012.
Urach’s latest beauty enhancement is one of just nine round of cosmetic surgery she has undergone in the last five years. But this one latest effort has backfired. In July, Urach discovered the gel implants are rotting her muscles, causing intense pain.
In desperation, she underwent an operation to remove 400ml of hydrogel from each of her legs. But the pain continues. And on Saturday, the artificial-booty star was admitted to a hospital in the southern city of Porto Alegre. Doctors say Urach has advanced infections in her thighs.
She reportedly had two drainage procedures on Sunday and Monday, but they were not successful. She remains sedated and is in a critical condition and is breathing with the aid of a ventilator.
So, to all you beauty slaves out there, be careful what you wish for.
