Accidental fire kills 4 because dazed woman stared at it instead of warning neighbors

Police in southwestern Japan arrested a 36-year-old woman who just sat and stared, failing to warn anyone, at a fire that ultimately, and needlessly took the lives of four people.
The woman lived on the first floor the building in the city of Kagoshima, with her mother and her two daughters.
She reportedly noticed the flames, but just sat there watching them, completely transfixed. It wasn’t until her daughters, smelling the fire, began to yell that she snapped out of her self-induced trance.
The three tried to wake the woman’s 70-year-old mother, but failing to do so, fled the building.
The unidentified woman’s mother was among the fire’s four victims. The others were also women who lived in the building, the youngest was just 15-years-old.
Police arrested the fire-obsessed woman who later confessed that she could’ve put the fire out, but felt that it was too pretty.
