Paris terror attacks end: French police storm hostage sites killing Kouachi brothers

Two brothers suspected of carrying out a shooting attack on the offices of French magazine Charlie Hebdo have been killed along with a suspected accomplice who took hostages in a Paris supermarket after near-simultaneous tactical police raids

Security forces tracked brothers Said and Cherif Kouachi, suspected of the Charlie Hebdo terror attack to a printworks in the town of Dammartin-en-Goele northeast of Paris on Friday.

Shortly before sunset, police raided the small building where the brothers held a single hostage. Gunfire ensued and the two suspects were killed. The hostage was unharmed. Fifteen minutes later in port de Vincennes, Paris, police using flash grenades moved into a Jewish supermarket where Amedy Coulibaly, the man believed to have killed a policewoman a day earlier held a group of hostages. Four were killed in shooting; two police were injured. Reports say five hostages are safe.

Police are hunting Coulibaly’s girlfriend, Hayat Boumedienne, who is believed to have been with him. Early reports say Boumedienne may have escaped during the siege. Police consider the 26-year-old “armed and dangerous.”

The Charlie Hebdo terror attack has so far left 20 people dead.
