Patriots deflategate: New England being investigated for small balls in AFC title game

The NFL has found that 11 of the New England Patriots’ 12 balls were inflated noticeably below NFL requirements during Sunday night’s AFC title game against the Indianapolis Colts.

The investigation found that the Patriot’s balls were inflated 2 pounds per square inch below what’s required by NFL ball blowing requirements. The NFL guys are really particular about how they like their balls.

Now the media has started speculating why the Patriots like smaller balls. There has also been quite a lot of talk about wet balls and dry balls.

If balls are your thing, the NFL has all the balls you need this week.

Under NFL rules, no alteration of the footballs is allowed once they are approved. If a person is found breaking league rules and tampering with the footballs, that person could face up to a $25,000 fine and potentially more discipline.
