Man with gun stops bank robbery by holding thief at gunpoint in Georgia

An unnamed ex-military man put a stop to an apparent bank robber's attempt to steal money from a Wells Fargo in Marietta, Georgia on Tuesday.
At approximately 2:25 p.m., 25-year-old Mark Katchem, of Chicago, presented a demand note to a bank teller asking for money. Another customer in the bank noticed what was going on, and left the bank at the same time as Katchem, and ran to his car to get his handgun.
According to Sergeant Dana Pierce, the good Samaritan then ordered Katchem down on the ground before he could get away. When police arrived, Katchem was lying prone in the parking lot with the man pointing a gun at him.
Police arrested Katchem and charged him with robbery by intimidation and he was booked into the Cobb jail. He is being held on a $15,000 bond.
Nick Daley, who was driving by and took a photo of what was happening says "I immediately knew by the way the man was standing, his stance, he was in control of the situation."
Nearby resident Charise Debarros applauds the man for taking charge of the situation.
"It's wonderful that someone is willing to take action and show the bad people out there, you can't do this and we're going to stand up for what's ours" says Debarros to Fox 5 News.
