On The Ball review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of On The Ball for the Super NES developed and published by Taito.
Taito released a maze game to arcades in 1989. Nothing strange about that, right? No, but they called it Cameltry. That’s a little strange. When the game was released to the Super NES, however, it was renamed On The Ball. The gameplay is similar to the plastic handheld mazes with the little steel ball. You must tilt the maze to get the ball to fall to the finish. Of course, along the way, you’ll have to deal with obstacles and smash through walls and avoid time penalties—we don’t remember those from the maze toys. On The Ball includes single-player and local multiplayer play on the Super NES.
