University Art Project Shuts Down Busy Atlanta Highway

On Monday, The Georgia Department Of Transportation closed a portion of a busy Atlanta highway following reports of a "suspicious package." It turns out, the "suspicious" device is a camera that had been secured to a bridge.

With Atlanta being a major city, it's highways are always full of cars.

On Monday, the Georgia Department Of Transportation closed a portion of a busy Atlanta highway following reports of a "suspicious package."

It turns out, the "suspicious" device is a camera that had been secured to a bridge. It was placed there by a Georgia State University student as part of an art project.

Initially though, police and DOT workers had no idea the package was an harmless camera. The 911 call about it came in a little before 1 in the afternoon.

When crews arrived on scene, they saw something they thought resembled an explosive. Police got right to work closing down all lanes of travel for safety.
