Discovery ‘Eaten Alive’ Star Backs Out Of Being Swallowed By Snake

Many tuned into the Discovery Channel’s ‘Eaten Alive’ expecting to see a man being swallowed whole by an anaconda only to find it didn’t live up to its hype.

When news spread that adventurer and environmentalist Paul Rosolie was going to get eaten alive by an anaconda on camera, the general consensus was that the guy was nuts.

Many tuned into the Discovery Channel’s airing of the stunt anyway, only to find that by the 2-hour show’s end, it had not lived up to its ‘Eaten Alive’ title and promises.

Rosolie, who was wearing a suit designed to protect him from the killer snake’s death grip, put a stop to the spectacle shortly after it began.

It seems the anaconda was every bit as powerful as its fearsome reputation indicates.

Only moments after the snake began to do it’s constricting and head swallowing, Rosolie called it quits.

He said that he could feel his arm bone about to break and his blood draining. The slithering beast had also started to nibble at the stuntman’s helmet.

Several experts jumped in to pry the creature off and send it on its way.

Unhappy viewers took to Twitter to express their feelings.

One wrote, “Super disappointed in this Eaten Alive show.. I just sat here for two hours to see a snake lick the top of this dudes head.”
