Gisele Bundchen has been announced as the new face of Chanel N°5.
33-year-old Brazilian model is no stranger to Chanel and is currently the face of the brand's Les Beiges make-up range.
Mr Luhrmann also worked with the French fashion and beauty giant more than a decade ago when he directed Nicole Kidman in her lavish multimillion-dollar Chanel No 5. campaign.
The fragrance was launched in 1921 by Gabrielle Chanel and has been considered a perfume classic ever since.
Gisele recently said: "Honoured to be the face of CHANEL Nº5. What an amazing experience it was to work with film director Baz Luhrmann and Chanel official team".
Marilyn Monroe is the current face of the fragrance. In October of last year, the fashion house used rare images of the late actress to air on TV and in print campaigns.
"You know, they ask me questions," she explained. "Just an example: ‘What do you wear to bed? A pyjama top? The bottoms of the pyjamas? A nightgown?’ So I said, ‘Chanel No. 5,’ because it’s the truth... And yet, I don’t want to say ‘nude’. But it’s the truth!”
