Emmett Township Public Safety Officer Ben Hall in Michigan had been out on patrol when he stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.

Once Hall spoke to the driver, he noticed there was a small child who wasn’t in a car seat. The little girl had a seat belt on, but that was it.

The child’s mother explained that she knew how important a car seat is but couldn’t afford one due to financial difficulties. Given that they were near a Walmart, Hall directed them to the store’s parking lot.

The officer went inside and purchased a car seat for the family with his own money instead of issuing a citation.

The mom later posted on Facebook, “I thank God for putting you in my life officer Hall. You are an amazing man, and I will never forget the kindness and compassion you showed me, and you also showed my daughter and myself that there are people out there that care.”

The woman also made it clear that once she gets back on her feet, she will be paying it forward.
