Hoops review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Hoops for the Nintendo Entertainment System developed by Aicom and published by Jaleco.

Hoops is one of the most popular basketball games on the NES. The game takes a “street” approach to the game, offering one-on-one or two-on-two play on a half court. Players can also choose to play winner’s or loser’s outs, which is a pretty cool touch for 1989. The game has eight playable characters—Mr. Doc, Jammer, Bomber, Zap, Legs, Wiz, Pretty Face and Barbie—and represents the style and tone that made basketball such a cool sport in the late eighties and early nineties. Just shake the rim! Hoops includes single-player and local multiplayer play on the NES.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Hoops for the Nintendo Entertainment System and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
