Visitors outside the White House will notice a second, waist-high temporary fence along a part of the presidential grounds.

It's designed to keep tourists and passersby, like them, farther away.

This, after a fence jumper got into the executive mansion on Friday.

Visitors outside the White House welcomed the added security measure.

Forty-two-year-old Iraq war veteran Omar Gonzalez allegedly scaled the permanent White House fence, ran across the White House lawn and entered the building through an open door.

This mug shot is from an unrelated arrest in Virginia in July.

Gonzalez was subdued by the Secret Service, and he's now charged with unlawful entry.
