The decisions were made following the release of video that showed Ray hitting his wife, who was then his fiancé, so hard that she was rendered unconscious.

That part of an otherwise highly publicized situation had been a mystery for months.

The incident at large was first made public in February when video surfaced showing a non-responsive Janay being dragged from an elevator.

Once the truly gruesome details of how she came to be in that state surfaced, Janay took to Instagram to defend her spouse and her relationship.

In her message she blames the media and the public for ruining her husband’s career.

She said she also holds both responsible for putting her family through hardship by making them relive a regrettable moment.
