Sarah Palin has announced the launch of her very own online channel. Palin says she is tired of media filters and thinks everyone else is too, which led the former governor to start her channel.

In a video introducing her network, Palin made it clear that she wasn’t launching a traditional news channel. She vowed to talk directly with her fans about today’s political issues and find solutions to those problems.

She explained “I want to talk directly to you on our channel, on my terms — and no need to please the powers that be. Together, we’ll go beyond the sound bites and cut through the media’s politically correct filter.”

According to Tapp, the media group that partnered with Palin for the network, subscribers will be able to take part in group video chats, post footage on the network website and write questions to Palin.

A one-year subscription costs $99.95 or $9.95 if paid on a monthly basis. U.S. military members are able to subscribe for free.

The channel is still in the early stages, but thus far the site has a clock counting down the days until Obama is no longer president, a quote from Thomas Paine, national debt calculations and a number of videos of Palin talking about recent issues.
