Bio:
I thought making it onto a cooking reality show would be my ticket to culinary fame, but the whole experience was a disappointment. Since then I have quit my job in a commercial kitchen and decided to start making my own cooking show, QUICK MEALS. This is episode 5. I was recently in the hospital... and somebody needs to do Jell-O right :)

Home is where the heart is, and good food brings family and friends together around the table. That's what I'm all about and that's what I want QUICK MEALS to be all about.

Recipe:
If you're trying to use off-brand or discount gelatin you've already lost. Good luck with life on the dark side.

Get yourself a 6 oz. box of Jell-O brand gelatin. Pick whichever flavor/color your family will like the most. You should know them. My dad's favorite was green.

And if you're even thinking about using the "speed-set method," stop right now. Take a few seconds to ask yourself this question, "why do I want to disappoint my family?"

The secret to making firm, jiggly gelatin is in the stirring. Empty the contents of your Jell-O package into your mold. Now add boiling water and stir for four minutes. Then add your cold water. The colder the better, but don't go overboard and add ice or anything. And again stir for a full four minutes.

Cover your Jell-O and put it in the fridge. Two hours later you and your family will have yourselves a jiggly treat guaranteed to make your taste buds PAP!
