A middle school teacher in Florida has been suspended after allegedly twerking and drinking with students. Courtney Spruill is a soccer coach and gym teacher at Kernan Middle School.

On July 1st, the Duval County School Board voted to suspend Spruill for 15 days without pay. The allegations about the teacher surfaced in May when a student came forward to say Spruill had attended an end of the year soccer gathering in April.
It was at that party she reportedly showed kids how to twerk and received a lap dance from a student. Those who spoke to school officials claimed the gym teacher was drunk and drove home with a classmate in the car.
The investigation into the allegations reportedly includes a cell phone video taken of Spruill receiving a lap dance. Case documents cite ‘gross exercise of poor judgement’ by the teacher.
The superintendent of the school says Spruill wasn’t terminated from her job because the parents were home at the time of the party.
