A woman in Florida who was already in hot water, is now in even more trouble after she allegedly ate marijuana in the back of a patrol car.

Police first caught up with Tavish Smith after she crashed her truck twice. Cops ruled she had been drinking and found marijuana in her vehicle so they arrested her.

Smith was handcuffed and placed in the back of a squad car. Troopers put the sandwich bag of marijuana in the front seat of the cop car. Before they left, Smith asked them to retrieve her flip flops out of her truck.

While the troopers searched for them, Smith was left all alone in the patrol car. She managed to wiggle out of her handcuffs and crawled through the dividing window. She grabbed the bag of pot and reportedly ate about 12 grams.

The trooper then realized her hand was free and that some of the pot was missing. When confronted, Smith denied everything but cops say she had crumbs on her face and hands.

The original charges were misdemeanors, for 'minor hit-and-run, DUI and drug possession' but now she's earned a felony for 'eating the evidence’. Smith earned a living working for a Brevard County judge, but since the arrest, she’s been suspended from her job.
