Richard Soutar " Love's Fool "1978 US Psych Folk

Richard Soutar. "Episodes" 1979 second album only 100 copies pressed US Psych Folk Rock.

Rare psych folk sounds from the late 70s! Episodes is really cool blend of acoustic and electric sounds, with the vocals, acoustic guitar and bass all handled by Soutar – backed by lead, often buzzingly electric guitar by Mike Tedesco, flute by Elyse Clark, and backing vocals by both (we think). The flute is a really masterstroke here, giving the record breezy, off kilter vibe that's pretty great – but the overall vibe is really compelling! A nice little discovery that we're glad we were hipped to! Includes "Love's Fool", "Summer Sounds", "Breaking Away", "All Too Close", "Sunny Faces", "Somehow, Somewhere, Someway", "Feathers", "Pleasure Of Your Presence", "Flower", "Why Must You Hide" and "The Girl Next Door"
