The Amazing Spider-Man 2 review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for the Nintendo 3DS developed by High Voltage Software and published by Activision.
Spider-Man fans get an entirely different version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on their Nintendo 3DS. Unlike the console version, this is a side-scrolling action game. Playing as Spider-Man, players battle enemies through several 2D levels, using their web-slinging abilities to climb walls and navigate obstacles along the way. Each level features three hidden costume tokens, which give the player a little exploration to do when they’re not beating up villains. The combat is similar to that of the console versions of Activision’s Spider-Man games, relying heavily on button-mashing and various combinations to bring down foes. There are also swinging minigames between levels. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is a single-player action-platformer on the Nintendo 3DS.
