Police in Anderson, California recently stumbled across a bizarre and ironic scene outside a Taco Bell restaurant.

Officers discovered a male transient, identified as 57-year-old Varnel Don Adamson Jr, resting inside a trash container on the property of the establishment.

Here's where the ironic part comes in. According to law enforcement, he was ‘wrapped like a burrito’ inside the garbage container.

The responding cops said he was asleep in the trash and portions of his body were covered in numerous plastic wrappers. The police were dispatched to the restaurant after a report came in regarding an intoxicated man who was napping in the bin.

Upon arrival, they confirmed he was drunk and ordered him to climb out of the garbage. Eventually he listened and exited the container.

Cops then ran his name and learned he had a warrant out for his arrest for a parole violation. Officers also discovered that Adamson was in possession of meth.

They arrested and booked him into Shasta County Jail. Now in addition to the outstanding warrant, he will also be facing a drug charge for the small amount of methamphetamine.
