Allah-Las: A Long Journey

L.A. band Allah-Las released their self-titled debut album in September, after four years of meticulously crafting their sound. Sourcing recording equipment from the 1950s and 60s gave the band an infectiously authentic, reverb-heavy garage sound, evoking the spirit of Cali—the surf and the sun—of decades past. Here, Life+Times catches up with the band on their very first East Coast tour, at a recent gig at Union Pool in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
