Replacing an external opening 2CV hood.

Open the boot and slightly lift up the boot lid, slide it off.

Remove the screws from the rear hood support.

Unhook the front hood support, applying equal pressure between the strap and the support to make it easier to free the hood.

Undo the two lateral hood clips.

Lift up the rear window and remove the upper tab from the support.

Unscrew the hood support.

Slide off the boot lid strip

Check the state of your stop blocks, if necessary, change them.

Fix the boot lid strip to the new hood.

Screw on the stop blocks.

Your hood is now ready to be mounted.

Insert the upper tab into the support, and press the lower support against the body shell.

Put the hood support screws in place, do not tighten them.

We suggest that you push the support up into the upper position.

Unroll the hood towards the front of the car making sure that the two supporting bars rest upon the bodywork.

Attach the two lateral hood clips.

Hook the front hood support, applying equal pressure between the strap and the support to make it easier to fix the hood.

Slide the boot lid back into place.

Adjust the boot lid to the body shell, and tighten the hood support screws into place.

Your hood is now fitted.
