Little Dog Takes Owner's Car for a Spin, Then Crashes

If your dog has a habitual liking for mischief, it may be a wise idea to never leave the beloved pet alone in the car. Just ask Jason Martinez from Spokane, Washington.

He recently left his tiny Chihuahua pooch, named Toby, inside his vehicle while he went inside a local store for just a few short minutes. When Martinez disappeared from sight to pick up a few items, Toby decided to hop behind the wheel of the unattended car.

Somehow he knocked it into gear and took off, paws on the steering wheel. The car took off out of the parking lot and cruised down the road a bit before striking another vehicle.

The woman who had been operating the other auto had been stopped at a red light when she felt the impact. At first, she thought nobody was driving but a second look showed the pooch at the wheel, innocently staring at her.

Luckily, no one was hurt and the accident was just a fender bender, leaving minimal damage on both vehicles.

According to Martinez, Toby has lost all future car privileges.
