Duke Ellington 1941-C Jam blues

C-Jam Blues Ellington 1941
It must have been in the mid forties, shortly after WWII, when the Netherlands had been liberated from the Nazi occupation that my dad once in a while took us to the movies. In the movie theatre, we called it the bioscoop, before the main feature was played we watched the "voor films" , basically "before films".
This was of course the news, Movietone, Fox were the companies for that, but then there were also these shorts. Often comics, of course cartoons and once in a while a musical short,
Many of these "Soundies" were made of famous artists.
