The WEC, the World Endurance Championship, brought this year's FIA World Endurance Championship to a close with a 6-hour race in Bahrain. The inhospitable terrain along the 5,412-kilometer route added to the excitement - as did the windswept desert sand, which played havoc with traction on the asphalt.
