There’s no denying that many domestic animals live a life of luxury. The newest luxury item geared towards kitties is wine.

A Japanese company has recently manufactured a beverage specifically for felines. The pet food and supplement maker B&H Lifes is responsible for the wine which they call Nyan Nyan Nouveau.

The drink does not contain any alcohol but it is loaded with vitamins along with juice from Cabernet Franc wine grapes. The unveiling of the wine came after the company decided to develop a drink so pet owners could include their furry friend in Christmas and family celebrations.

Nyan Nyan Nouveau is priced at about $4 per bottle and B&H Lifes recommends the bottle be consumed within one year of opening, meaning the drink doesn’t get better with age as wines typically do.

Production is limited to 1,000 bottles. The company notes that most kitties do not need to consume liquids for taste, however authorities at B&H Lifes expect the bottles to sell fast, as no one wants their cat left out during the holiday festivities.

What do you think? Would your cat like to have this wine?
