Pregnant woman killed: collision throws couple from motorcycle

A pregnant woman was killed after her husband's motorcycle collided with a lorry on Woodlands Road in Singapore.

The woman, identified as 28-year-old Lui Yoke Leng, was riding pillion on the motorcycle when it crashed into a lorry that was making a U-turn along Woodlands road. The impact flung the couple off of the vehicle.

Lui was unconscious when she was taken to Khoo Tech Puat Hospital after the accident at around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Her body was later identified by her husband.
