Man Found Naked in Air Conditioning Duct After Trying to Steal Prescription Drugs

Law enforcement personnel in Milwaukee recently arrested a 19-year-old man who allegedly attempted to steal prescription drugs from a local veterinary hospital.

Police were able to catch up to the suspect easily because he got stuck in the building’s air conditioning ducts. The culprit, Shane Rae reportedly removed all his clothing and squeezed his body into a ventilation shaft, armed with a hammer and flashlight.
According to a police captain, the suspect crawled in once direction, but along the route he was met with resistance after the shaft drastically narrowed. Rae turned around once he realized his predicament but somehow missed the entry hole and he ended up sliding down the shaft to ground level.
The attempted break in took place at about 9 at night on September 15th. He was finally located naked the next morning at approximately 8:15.
Rae told officers he was seeking the painkillers and sedatives the vets use to treat sick animals. He is now facing a legal charge of attempted burglary. The damages to the structure were said to be about $5,000.
