Pharrell Williams defends Miley Cyrus' MTV VMA performance

STORY: Miley Cyrus caused widespread controversy when she performed a raunchy set during the MTV Video Awards in New York on August 25th, with her use of 'twerking', giant teddy bears, sexual gyrations and a giant foam hand. However, Pharrell Williams, who produced several of Cyrus' tracks on her upcoming album 'Bangerz' has a very different reaction to many of Cyrus' critics. "Oh it's awesome because it's got everyone paying attention. She's going to put out her second single, which is uber, her video which is beautiful and incredibly like charming and you see all her poise and then you're going to realise how much of a triple threat she is.
