Emmy nominees announced, Jay-Z's album at No. 1

STORY: The 65th annual primetime Emmy Award nominations were announced early Thursday morning (July 18) in Los Angeles with television thriller "American Horror Story: Asylum" and medieval fantasy "Game of Thrones" leading the nominees. In a new twist, online DVD and streaming service Netflix won its first Emmy nominations for political drama "House of Cards" and comedy "Arrested Development." This year's Emmy Awards will take place on September 22.

Rapper Jay Z's latest album "Magna Carta Holy Grail" debuted at the top of the Billboard 200. The album sold 528,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan, making it the second-best debut week for an album this year behind Justin Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience." It's the rapper's 13th No. 1 album, the most by a solo artist in the chart's history.
