The Set List

The Set List: a single piece of paper that establishes what songs a band will play on any given evening. Will it be the same as last night’s show? Will the band play old favorites, or songs from their new album?

The Set List not only tells us about the evening, it tells us about the band. Why are they playing a Johnny Cash cover? Why do they always play the same song as their encore? Why did they choose tonight to play something never heard in public before?

Every concert has a Set List. Every Set List has a story.
